Licenced Automotive Service Technician

Auto-One Car Care and Service Centre has an opening for a Licenced Automotive Service Technician.

To be a successful candidate for this position you must be licensed and have the experience and ability to provide our customers with quality repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

•  Test automotive systems and components.
•  Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
•  Conduct necessary repairs and test drive vehicles to verify cause, complaint, and correction.
•  Inspect vehicles according to the Ministry of Transportation requirements for safety certification.
•  Maintain a working knowledge of current automotive repair industry best practices.
•  Work with minimal supervision.
•  Review work orders and discuss work with Service Manager.
•  Maintain legible and accurate electronic repair orders for both the customer and dealership.
•  Coach and instruct apprentices.
•  Clean and maintain the work environment daily to ensure longevity of equipment and workplace safety.
•  Must be Dependable and Client Focused.

Qualifications and Skills:

•  Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
•  Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. Experience 2 years plus.
•  Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment.

Own Tools/Equipment:

• Ability to supply a complete set of automotive repair tools.
• Steel-toed safety boots.

Transportation/Travel Information:

•  Own Transportation.
•  Must have a valid driver’s licence.
•  Must have a clean driving record.
